AFB Japan advances human coexistence and shared prosperity without alignment to a particular political position, creed, religion or ideology. This platform coordinates accountable activities in Japan and in every country where the association works.

Constitutional areas of work

AFB Japan may deliver the following public-benefit activities in Japan and internationally.

  2. 2 Disaster relief, recovery, preparedness and risk reduction
  3. 3 International cooperation
  4. 4 Human-rights protection and promotion of peace
  5. 5 Revitalization of local communities and economies
  6. 6 Vocational development and expansion of employment opportunities
  7. 7 Gender equality, including prevention of GBV and sexual exploitation and abuse
  8. 8 Academic, cultural, artistic and sports activities
  9. 9 International education and exchange programs
  10. 10 Support for public-benefit volunteer organizations
  11. 11 Other public-benefit activities related to the association’s purpose
  12. 12 Community, learning and integration centres; help desks, temporary accommodation, distribution points, mobile teams and outreach

Who we work with

Programs support the effective and sustainable participation of migrants, refugees, displaced and disaster-affected people, while prioritizing women, children, older people, persons with disabilities and other people facing vulnerability. Youth participation, education, skills, employment, volunteering and leadership are integral to this work.

How this Actions platform is governed

Anyone may create a participant account. Volunteer status is optional and reviewed. Actions submitted by community creators do not become public until an authorized moderator or administrator approves them. Only administrators can move an action to the recoverable archive; permanent deletion is disabled. Signed-in users can privately report safety or integrity concerns to moderators.
